We are a leading Not-for-Profit aged care provider in Victoria seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a permanent full time position. We have approximately 1,500 employees across metropolitan and regional locations providing aged care in residential care, in-home care and independent living.
About You
As Payroll Officer you will be part of a small team responsible for fortnightly payroll processing. You will be a switched on and enthusiastic flexible person who will be supporting the Payroll Manager. You will have high level ability using Aurion - payroll system or similar. TimeTarget rostering experience understanding an advantage. You will have exceptional customer experience with Payroll enquiries and time management. You will be a quick learner, have excellent attention to detail, have an understanding of Enterprise Agreements and have advanced computer skills and understanding of HR systems.
The successful candidate will have excellent detailed knowledge of payroll functions.
You should be professionally presented, highly organised, a bit of a perfectionist with detail and self-motivated, someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads and customer focused.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma level and/or proven experience in Payroll.
- 3+ years’ experience in an Payroll position and desirable in a position, preferably within an Aged Care or health environment
- Advanced computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. An understanding of Payroll / Aurion software would be an advantage.
- Ability to provide Payroll Enquiry responses
- Understanding of functional payroll aspects in superannuation, leave, not for profit and taxation.
- Ability to produce Payroll reports.
- Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements, NES and legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and organisational skills
- A general understanding and social awareness of the Aged Care industry and the challenges that the sector faces will be valuable, alongside a compassionate nature and an empathetic approach.
