About the business
A privately owned investment firm in Brisbane is looking to recruit a strong financial accountant with corporate secretarial experience.
Ideal role for an accountant with commercial experience looking for a new opportunity, on a part-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet Reports and reconciliations, including commentaries and variance analysis
- Processing weekly payroll for employees
- Financial Reporting - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for the Australian legal entities
- Support the preparation of tax returns for Australia
- Prepare and submit GST returns
- Maintain visibility over all bank accounts and cash on hand balances
- Support the annual audit process
- Support the budgeting, cash flow report preparation and variance reporting
- Support the Budget and Strategic Plan development process
- Support development of internal controls and processes
- Support corporate secretarial and documentation completion including investment documents
- Support the Finance Director in a broad range of tasks
- Ad hoc projects and duties specified by the Directors
