A Commercial Accountant with strong experience in the retail industry located in the northern suburbs
Your new company
Our client is a market leader in the apparel space and are well respected within the retail industry. They are looking for a Commercially focused Accountant to join their team located in the Northern Suburbs on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and Company Directors you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Monthly and annual financial reporting with analysis
- Prepare and lodge monthly ABS Surveys, PAYG, BAS and Income Tax, bimonthly NZ GST Return and quarterly UK VAT return.
- Managing of external audit processes
- Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management reports and offer input to the finance manager
- Communicate with external and internal stakeholders for the business
- Inventory and stoke take control
- Cost analysis and product performance analysis
- Assist in annual insurance renewal, contract management and lease management
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate in this role you will be a qualified Accountant and a strong communicator to offer support to the finance team. You will have :
- Significant retail history with experience in wholesale/suppliers/retail stores
- ERP system Knowledge and ideally have used AP21 and MYOB
- CPA/CA
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Knowledge in maintaining financial accounts for multi-company structure and inter-company transactions reconciliations
- Be personable and have a positive attitude
