The Company
This CBD based practice, employs approximately 60 staff. The proactive and supportive attitude of the partners encourages the growth and career progression of staff. The practice provides clients with the full accounting package of business services, tax, accounting, SMSF & audit.
The Role/Individual
A suitable candidate would possess a drive for career progression, and take advantage of the support provided, through mentoring and regular training to enhance technical skills. You will use your prior knowledge and experience completing Tax Returns, BAS’s, IAS’s & Financial Statements for all types of entities. You will cover all aspects involved in an accounting job, and build a knowledge of PSI, FBT, CGT, Div 7A.
Duties:
You will have some basic experience and knowledge in the following, which will be tailored and improved with strong training and mentoring:
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns & Financial Statements for all types of entities (including SMSF’s)
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
- Research – tax and business advisory
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, building rapport to create long term relationships
Skills & Experience
The following requirements are necessary in order to be considered:
- 12+ months experience in a public practice accounting role
- Desire to commence or already commenced the CA/CPA program
- Previous experience using MYOB AE advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal skills- both written & verbal
