Concept is a privately owned Australian company, who for over 37 years has supplied Australian manufacturers in the Cosmetic, Personal Care and Homecare markets as an established importer and distributor.

We supply a unique range of speciality chemical and natural products, leveraging our industry partners of global leading producers of raw materials. We pride ourselves in offering end-to-end consultative capabilities whilst focusing on new materials that drive ecological and cost-saving customer outcomes.

With our head office based in Pymble, Sydney, we utilise an extensive warehousing and logistics network to supply and service customers across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. We are moving to new offices in the lower Northern Beaches in Q4 of this year.

About the role

You will need to be enthusiastic, a problem solver, self-motivated and willing to be accountable for your work, with no job being too big or too small.

Professionally presented at all times, you will need to be strong in both written and spoken English as the role involves liaising with suppliers, debt collection and presenting reports to management.

Responsibilities include:

  • End to end accounts Payable and Receivable functions
  • Monthly payroll
  • Preparation of P&L and monthly bank reconciliation
  • Month end financial and management reports
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Compliance with internal/external reporting
  • Preparing and lodging BAS
  • Supplier ordering
  • Processing Sales invoices and Supplier invoices
  • Ensuring Invoices, Account Statements and Customer enquiries are sent, dealt with and managed in all aspects
  • Support the corporate team to update and improve existing systems and processes
  • Provide executive team with required financial/business reports accurately and on-time
  • Stock takes and reconciliation to General Ledger
  • Assist in other office tasks as necessary
  • All administrative work for this role, including filing, photocopying, scanning and assisting with answering calls

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent from an Australian university
  • 2-3+ years of local accounting experience post qualifying
  • Experience in at least one ERP/Accounting system
  • High level Excel and reporting/analysis capabilities
  • Passionate problem solver with the ability to resolve executive team queries and issues
  • Able to work under pressure and with conflicting priorities
  • A rigorous and meticulous work style with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills internally & externally
  • Good command of both spoken and written English is required
  • You will be highly ethical, complying with best-practice in both accounting professional standards and personal conduct; particularly with particular value on ideals of truth, candour and honesty
  • Ideal candidate has experience or ability to master Odoo (Open ERP) system
  • Ideal candidate has some experience working within Distribution, Import, Logistics business
