Due to expansion, our Company is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant with significant public practice experience to join the team located in Essendon. The successful applicant will be working closely with the Director, Business Services Managers and teams across a variety of industries.

Reporting to the Director of the practice you will also be working alongside 12 other staff members who are fun, enthusiastic and passionate with the main goal to provide exceptional services to their clients.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Managing and overseeing the preparation of financial statements for Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships
• Providing Taxation Advice, Superannuation, Business Advisory, Succession Planning, Estate Planning and Wealth Creation as and when required to clients
• Managing and overseeing the preparation of tax returns and other statutory returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships
• Identifying, raising and resolving client accounting and business issues with managers and partners
• Managing and developing junior staff
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and external third parties

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• 5+ years’ public practice experience
• Accounting degree and CPA or CA qualified (CPA desirable, not essential)
• A good understanding of taxation and issues relating to CGT, FBT, Div 7A, Payroll,
• Experience in the end to end management of client work
• Experience in managing and developing junior staff
• Lead & mentor team member
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise easily with both clients and the team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, and an attention to detail
• Offer advice to and consult with clients regarding tax issues
• Eligibility - Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia
