About the role
As the Senior Financial Accountant you will play a pivotal role in the finance department. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will take ownership of the rebate process that was previously an off-shore function. The main focus of this role will be to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month and year end accounts, as well as maintaining the integrity of balance sheet accounts and critical P&L reconciliations.
Other duties include:
- Data gathering and analysis for reporting and disclosures
- Support the rollout of any changes or update in the revenue standards
- Continuous review of existing processes to identify improvements and driving efficiencies.
- Perform month end closing tasks timely and accurately.
- Review monthly financials and provide commentary on monthly variances.
- Prepare General Ledger Reconciliations
- Ensuring fund balances in bank accounts are maintained to meet working capital requirements
- Preparing cash flow forecasts
- Monitor and review rebate calculations and settlements
- Actively partner with and support operations and business
- Participating in the statutory audits, coordinating all requirements and providing clarifications on issues raised and finalizing the statutory audits
- Ensuring Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act/Keylight tool administration
- Supervise Accountant and Assistant Accountant in all accounting matters
The Successful applicant
- CPA/CA qualified
- SAP experience
- Only candidates who comes from large corporates with a minimum turnover of $200million will be considered for this role
- SOX experience beneficial
