The work will involve trade secret litigation, non-disclosure agreements, anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting issues. You will assist the team to handle trade practice disputes, any associated advisory work, complex trade mark situations, copyright, patent design and a wide range of other IP-related transactions.

The firm’s Intellectual Property Practice is the recognized leader in the Asia-Pacific region. The Australian practice is a fundamental part of the firm’s global IP network.
The Australian team will work on all aspects of IP law. This includes advising on the protestation, enforcement and exploitation of IP rights. Clients vary in size and the work covers a broad range of industries such as: information technology; healthcare; media and education; food and beverage; finance; cosmetics and fashion.
In terms of the Australian market this firm also operates the largest trade mark portfolio practice and includes multiple world famous brands.
The Role
This position reports to two major Partners in the IP Department.
The work will involve trade secret litigation, non-disclosure agreements, anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting issues. You will assist the team to handle trade practice disputes, any associated advisory work, complex trade mark situations, copyright, patent design and a wide range of other IP-related transactions.
Key Role Responsibilities
• Handle advisory and contentious IP matters
• Provide complex advice within a commercial mindset
• Draft pleadings and other court related documents
• Brief counsel
• Prepare cease and desist correspondence
• Prepare evidence and draft submissions
Key Role Requirements
• The successful applicant will have experience in handling both contentious and advisory IP matters.
• Strong academics
• Minimum 3-6 PQE
• Open to more senior candidates
• Ideally from a specialist IP Practice
• Strong client management skills
• Ability to effectively delegate work
• Excellent communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills
