The role:
As the Assistant Accountant you will assist in the preparation of monthly reporting, annual financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and analysis of company expenditures, while offering insightful and accurate reporting to support business decisions.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Coordination and review of P&L, cost allocation and analysis;
- Maintaining internal customer experience expectations;
- Preparation of BAS, TBT, Income Tax and other regulatory requirements;
- Assisting in preparation of annual external audit and internal audits; and
- Assist in business projects as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 18+ months experience in an accounting role within a commercial or chartered environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a MUST;
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills;
- Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting (Similar Discipline)
- Working towards a CA/CPA qualified
- Experience in TM1, Cognos and SAS (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Gmail and an integrated financial software package
- Attention to detail is a must, excellent time and self-management skills, team player, logical and organised; and
- Ability to work with a varied range of people.
