Current Opportunity:

BDO's Risk Advisory Services team enhances shareholder value, secures business wealth and allows for increased growth opportunities by assisting businesses manage risk to their business objectives. BDO achieves this by providing opportunities to staff to deliver the following value adding services:
• Providing Transformation, Strategy and Operating Model design services.
• Assessing and developing enterprise-wide governance and process improvement frameworks, facilitating workshops etc.
• Providing consulting services covering strategic planning, HR, IT etc.
• Providing support to other service teams.
• Joint facilitating solution development workshops with, Principal / Partner and clients.

The Sydney office of BDO, the fifth largest International professional services firm, is seeking an accomplished Assistant Manager/Manager with a broad interest in performing a range of assignments including both technical (IT) reviews and operational reviews to join the Risk Advisory (RAS) team.

RAS provides services to publicly listed, private, not for profit and government organisations across various industries to ensure that appropriate controls, processes and solutions are in place to secure client's strategic and operational objectives. You will interact closely with client Boards, Senior Management and Staff to ensure objectives are met and risks mitigated.

As a key player in providing a range of services and information to clients, you will work closely with industry respected professionals whilst enjoying a supportive firm culture. This role offers a great variety of work, autonomy, client contact, direct Partner interaction and coaching.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executing advisory services, including transformation, strategy, risk assurance and business process improvement services under the guidance and support from the RAS Principal and Partner
• Understanding and applying the firm's quality and professional delivery standards required to deliver assurance services
• Working with the Partner / Principal to coordinate the scheduling of work across the practice
• Establishing effective working relations with junior staff and clients
• Providing a coaching and mentoring role to junior staff
• Supervising fieldwork and preparing written reports of a high quality and standard and work to budgets and timelines

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a consultant within a corporate entity structure
• A proven track record of delivering transformation, strategy, business improvement and/or risk management services across operational areas
• Certifications or qualifications relevant to Advisory services
• Interest in transformation, strategy, business operations and Information Technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical and facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently using professional judgment
• Accounting and / or business degree
• Australian driver’s license and access to a car
