Our client are an international company who specialise in mining safety equipment, they are leaders within their field of expertise and continue to lead the way.
Due to expansion, they are looking for an experience Accountant to carry out end to end accounts duties, this will be on an international level therefore you need to have experience in dealing with multiple currencies and operate across multiple time zones.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for personally managing the day to day aspects of the company's finances, including:
- End of Month Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Debtor receipts and monthly statements
- Monthly reconciliations of all accounts
- Calculate and issue financial analysis of AP & AR reports
- Staff credit card maintenance and reconciliation
- Commercial contract processing – Letters of credit, bank guarantees etc
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting for Directors and external accountants
- Maintenance of orderly accounting filing system
- Processing and management of weekly payroll for 60 employees
- Preparation and management of all tax liabilities and superannuation
- Provide clerical & administrative support to management as requested
To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Accounting / Business Degree or Cert IV Accounting (min. requirement)
- A minimum of 5 years experience
- Experience with SAP is preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
- Outstanding time management skills with the ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and prioritise own workload
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and in an environment where priorities may change.
- Must be systematic and will uphold company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously
- A high level of competence in all Microsoft packages
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- Ability to understand currency conversion rates and methodologies
