The Role
Working as a pivotal member of Gilbert + Tobin’s Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager the Finance Officer – Billing & AP will be responsible for:
Finance & Accounting
- processing and paying creditor invoices
- maintaining petty cash float
- performing bank account reconciliations
- undertaking end of month related tasks including billing support
Payments and Receipts
- processing daily cheque payments
- processing bank statement transactions
- processing Visa payments
Trust and Controlled Monies (backup)
- processing trust and controlled monies cheques and receipts as well as producing month end reports
Elite Administration and Support
- supporting secretaires and lawyers in the usage of Elite, as required
- creating and manage non-billable matters in Elite
About You
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Exposure to Elite 3E an advantage but not essential
- Experience gained in an accounting function AP/AR preferably in a professional services environment
- Exceptional time and priority management skills
- Strong attention to detail
