Accounts Payable
This essential role with Wests Tigers NRL is responsible for all things Accounts Payable, all Medical Expense Claim processing and month end support reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares all payment runs
- Reconciles Purchase Orders with incoming invoices
- Resolves discrepancies and invoice queries
- Manages all creditor relationships
- Works in an efficient manner taking advantage of payment discounts
- Reconciles credit cards
- Assists in Month End close procedure
- Adheres to Financial Policies and Procedures
- Maintains files and documentation
This position is integral to the smooth operation of our Finance Department and reports directly to the Finance Manager.
Critical qualifications
- Previous 3+ years Accounts Payable experience, or experience in a similar Finance role
- Solid understanding of basic Bookkeeping and Accounting with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, documentation skills, research and resolution skills and data analysis
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and competency in accounts payable/General Ledger accounting software
- Exceptional planning, organisational & time management skills
- High level of integrity
- Degree or secondary study in Business/Accounting or related field is an advantage
- Microsoft Great Plains experience desirable
- Medical Claims processing experience desirable
