The Opportunity
  
A unique and exciting Xero Accountant position has arisen in a cloud based bookkeeping practice! Suitable for the Accountant who enjoys variety, work/life balance and has had experience with bookkeeping/accounting in a public practice accounting environment. Work from home with flexible hours (average 30 hours per week); whilst having the support of experienced CA and CPA partners to back you up. Seeking a confident person, who can commit to help grow and develop the business. Please note the successful applicant for this position MUST be able to commit to a 30 hours work week, and be located in BRISBANE or GOLD COAST region.
  
Responsibilities

• Supporting the principal, focusing on the quality review of client work undertaken by the bookkeeping team
• Recognising and rectifying anomalies/mistakes  
• Full function / high level bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Maintaining client databases – Xero files
• Setting clients up and converting clients over to Xero
• Reviewing and implementing new procedures and practises as required
• Reconciliations numerous clients
• Managing quality control of information is essential - supervision and review of data entered
• Visiting clients as required - relationship management and client training 

Requisite Skills & Experience

• Significant previous experience in bookkeeping / accounting roles required
• Public practice experience essential - working with multiple clients’ needs simultaneously
• Formal bookkeeping or accounting qualifications
• Xero qualified would be beneficial
• Must be comfortable using and implementing new technology
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a strong customer service ethic are all essential
