We currently have an exciting opening for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a leading retail organisation who have operations all over the world. This opportunity also offers the benefit of working in a creative and fast paced workplace environment. This position is located within close proximity to public transport.
Client Details
Our client is apart of the retail industry, that sells a wide variety of products from home-wares, books, clothes and video games. This position is one that will have you working as an Accounts Payable Officer at their purpose built Melbourne location, where the work-place is highly regarded for their fun, supportive and dynamic team-based culture. This position is on an initial 3 month contract basis with likely extension.
Description
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- High volume end to end accounts payable
- Reconciliation of supplier and general ledger accounts
- Processing of weekly payment runs
- Compliance with company polices and procedures
- Deal with supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with month end journals and other responsibilities
- Ad-hoc support to the manager as requested
Profile
The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience working in an end-to-end Accounts Payable role and be able to process a high number of invoices on a daily basis. Being able to effectively communicate and work in a team based environment is essential. A high attention to detail is also mandatory in this position. Previous experience using Oracle or similar large ERP system would be advantageous.
