About the company

Our client is a global market leader specialising in the design and integration of mission-critical communication equipment and wireless networks across Australia. 

Their client portfolio includes a diverse range of private and Government organisations.  This position will support a high profile government contract with regard to a network expansion project.  

Supporting the manager, you will be responsible for contract matters whilst maintaining a strong relationship with the customer.

You will enjoy working within a fast paced environment and managing customer relationships.  In this role you will work closely with a variety of divisions including the customer, project, subcontractors, legal and finance teams.

Key responsibilities includes:

• Ensure contractual commitments are met
• Ensure project costs are accurately captured, allocated, forecasted and reported
• Manage contract variation process - Review, challenge and consolidate all inputs into proposal for submission
• Participate in the resolution of contractual disputes by researching and clearly articulating contractual obligations and facilitation of legal advice
• Maintain strong relationships with the Customer and Subcontractors
• Attend customer meetings with the manager
• Progress reporting
• Provide analysis, collate documentation and decision support on Liquidated Damages calculations

To be successful in the role, skills and experience required includes:

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or a business related discipline
• Experience in contracts or commercial role within a large organisation 
• Have demonstrated customer facing experience 
• Present strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills 
• Good inter-personal, teamwork and conflict resolution skills as well as sound planning capabilities 
• Experience in a managed service, BPO, Construction or IT services business environment (desirable)

Successful candidate will be required to complete a Police check.
