Description
Lead and Manage operational and strategic payroll and remuneration services,
- Manage weekly and fortnightly payroll services for 2000 full time and casual employees
- Deliver an effective and efficient payroll service that can adapt with the changing needs of the City
- Ensure the payroll practices comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- Lead and manage the payroll team helping to utilise and develop their payroll service and technical knowledge
- Take ownership of new system implementations and effectively role out across they payroll department
- Advise and support the Manager Human Resources Operations in developing and implementing human resource strategies to facilitate effective decisions by the group.
- Develop and monitor the interface between Awards, enterprise agreements and the payroll system to streamline, simplify and improve the accuracy of pay determinations and entitlements.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification
- You will be a strategic and experienced payroll manager with a particular emphasis on weekly and fortnightly payroll
- Have a proven track record in new process improvements and system implementations
- Strive for excellence and continuously identify opportunities to improve
- Be a driver who encourages change and motivates a team
- Be knowledgeable and have experience working with complex industrial rewards and a variety of remuneration packages
- Experience using Kronos & Chris21 will be preferred
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify issues providing solutions to resolve them
