Financial Accountant
Financial Accountant required for a 6-month contract working with a leading Australian oil & gas operator.
As a member of the external reporting team the role will support the team in preparing key deliverables and activities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Monthly IFRS compliant financial statements and related board / shareholder reporting;
- Monthly capex and cost reporting;
- Balance sheet accounts review;
- Reforecasting activities; and
- New accounting standards impact assessments, etc.
The Financial Accountant will also assist with various continuous improvement projects relevant to the business.
To be considered for the role, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Specific, current or recent “Big 4” accounting experience;
- Minimum of 3 years’ overall accounting and finance experience;
- Formal, degree qualification in Accounting or similar field;
- CA or CPA preferred (gained, or working towards);
- Strong exposure to month end / year end processes preferred;
- Oil and gas experience preferred;
- Hyperion and/or SAP experience preferred; and
- Experience with preparing and reviewing financial statements.
