Detail information about job Chief Operating Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Full accountability for the day-to-day operations of the business
  • Your experience will predominently be from the financial services sector
  • Boutique operation with the foundation to enable accelerated growth

We are Australia’s leading lender to strata/body corporate and owner corporations with a successful track record, leading brand recognition and the financial resources to expand into new markets. With strong governance and management team in place, we are now seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead our business operations as we expand our client and product base and geographic reach.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, in this role you will have full accountability for the day-to-day operations of the business – effectively ensuring the operational capability is in place for everything from providing the CEO the support needed in setting strategic direction and monitoring performance, through to effective sales and marketing and business development, new product implementation, accounting/commercial management and compliance.

It will be a given that you have superb organising skills and pay attention to detail – you always know the key risks in your business and manage them accordingly. To be successful in this role however, your background will demonstrate that you also bring more than just your business experience – it will also show you to be a highly motivated, action-oriented individual with the ability to understand the needs of the markets your business serves and ensure your operations are aligned to effectively meet those needs.

Your experience will have been gained mostly in the financial services sector, where you will have learned the mechanics of how the sector works, proven yourself as a manager of people (including in cross-functional roles), and become recognised as a professional, disciplined and adaptable leader. We expect your experience to be in more than one aspect of financial services; that you will have experience working with customers as well as managing back-office delivery, loan servicing, IT strategy and project management; and that you have worked in or with new businesses with accountability for the P&L (and Balance Sheet where appropriate).

Naturally very strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required for this role, underpinned by the highest levels of personal integrity.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join an established, boutique operation with all the ingredients in place to enable accelerated growth – with the opportunities for you which that implies.

We expect at a minimum you will have a relevant tertiary qualification, ideally with post-graduate qualifications such as an MBA.

To be considered for this position, your application must include a cover letter addressing your suitability and specific interest in the role.

Salary (+ super) are negotiable for the right person but consider $160-$190k as a guide.  Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.

If this is the perfect opportunity for you, please apply via Seek now.
