About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Executive Manager Property Services forms an important part of Catholic Homes' Executive Team. The core focus of this role is providing leadership within and accountability for the Property Services and Independent Living business unit.
The successful candidate will be innovative and have extensive Property Services experience in a senior role, managing sizeable facilities, including independent living villas.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing leadership, innovation and planning to enhance Catholic Homes' property portfolio.
- Ensuring the provision of property services to Catholic Homes meets organisational goals and objectives.
- Providing strategic advice to the Executive and Board in relation to the repair, maintenance and redevelopment of property assets.
- Providing life cycle costings for all property assets to assist with the planning of property redevelopments and refurbishments to maintain marketability.
The successful applicant will have:
- Extensive and working knowledge of property management, building legislation and other relevant legal obligations.
- Ability to think strategically, form and implement plans to increase the organisation's revenue growth and minimise risk exposure.
- Experience in staff management and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Building industry relevant financial and budget management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in structuring and implementing Property Maintenance and capital works programs.
- Understanding and knowledge of aged care (residential, retirement and community-based care) and associated industries (highly desirable).
