About the opportunity

It’s an exciting period of growth at BP and we have a rare opportunity available for a business development focused Sales Manager to join our team in Perth.

The B2B Fuels channel manages both bulk fuel and card sales, and through card is a key contributor to the performance of the, Retail, Dealer, Distributor & Truckstop channels. The Key focus of the B2B Sales Manager is to grow BP’s business through a varied portfolio of Customers across the Transport, Fleet, Government and Civil & Utilities industries.

Key accountabilities include

  • Play a lead role in growing the portfolio through building strong Customer relationships and developing prospecting plans.
  • Ownership for the sales process and actively engaging all stakeholders and ensuring any issues are resolved promptly in order to secure a successful outcome for BP and our Customers.
  • Manage and ensure compliance and conformance
  • Provision of customer and competitor insights and trends
  • Stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing
  • Execution of the tactical & strategic initiatives for card and fuel
  • Meet/exceed KPI targets for safety, customer acquisition and conversion rates, operating margin, sales volume, and other relevant measures such as debt management & working capital targets

About you

You are an accomplished Business Development/Sales professional, with high commercial acumen, well refined leadership skills and demonstrable experience in converting prospects into sales. You are relentless in the pursuit of winning what counts and you thrive on the challenge of operating in a highly competitive market. Ideally, you will hail from within a B2B sales environment, and bring with you exceptional people and influencing skills that enable you to work within a diverse business and get the best out of others.
