About us

We are an international freight forwarder, specialising in inbound USA traffic and dedicated to the concept of being an extension of each client's office.  We recognise that the quality of our service is a vital function in the client's ultimate objective to finalise the sale, then transfer the goods efficiently and effectively.  Concordia was founded in 1978, is considered the largest privately owned freight forwarder in the USA with 15 of its own offices in North America and Puerto Rico along with 36 offices around the world, including the South Africa, Great Britain, Germany, The Benelux region, Singapore, Hong Kong & China.  As an organisation we value teamwork, success, self development and integrity, and you will play a role in ensuring our values are lived on a daily basis.

About the role

As a salesperson you will source new clients, liaise with existing clients, and do quotations, by a mixture of phone, email and face to face meetings.  Leads are supplied to us from the USA and provide a solid basis for new sales. You will report to the District Manager NSW and work inside a team of eight.   Success in the role will be measured by the number, quality and quantum of sales made, as well as the effectiveness of your dealings with our clients. Opportunity exists for advancement within the company based on performance in this role.

About you

You will have experience in sales in freight forwarding.  You will be a self starter, skilfully persistent, resourceful and a good communicator.  You will contribute to a positive team culture, work with pride in your own performance and help to drive company success.   You will have proficient I.T. skills and able to problem solve on a daily basis. You will see challenges as opportunities and future learning as part of your success.

Remuneration

We will discuss remuneration with the successful candidate but anticipate a salary of $90k to $100k plus super.  A company wide profit-share system is also available after an initial qualifying period. The usual tools of trade will be supplied including mobile phone and laptop.
