Rodwells is a highly successful division of the ASX listed Ruralco and has been providing professional, personalised service to its clients since its establishment in 1981. With 35 locations across Victoria and southern New South Wales, Rodwells is a diverse agribusiness incorporating rural merchandise, agronomy, real estate, finance, insurance, water broking, grain marketing and livestock services. Due to recent structural changes, we are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an Agribusiness Sales Manager to join our team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Rural Supplies Manager you will provide overall leadership, direction and management to ensure the achievement of store/branch objectives. You will manage and maintain customer relationships for the benefit of organisational goals, including the delivery of the branch budget and be responsible for the effective management of profitability and sustainability of the store/branch, specifically focussed on markets, operations, employees, capital and assets. You will expand the customer base of the branch through the provision of quality customer service and advice and by maintaining and promoting a range of services which meet the current and anticipated needs of those customers and will proactively grow a key client portfolio through direct client targeting, activity in the market place and on property client sales visits. You shall also provide key sales leadership across all activities delivered from the branch, including sales coaching and planning.

About you:

To be successful you must demonstrate proven sales and sales leadership success, ideally developed within the rural retail or agribusiness sector. The ability to network and identify opportunities for business development will also be key to your success. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders together with the ability to drive business outcomes and performance. You will be self-motivated and driven to implement improvements in all areas of store operations including strong supply chain/inventory and stock control experience. Strong financial skills for reporting and P&L management are essential and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is preferred.
