As an internationally renowned industry leader, the STEELBRO side loaders are regularly used throughout the world in the transportation of shipping containers.

Due to company growth fueled by an aggressive growth strategy, we are seeking a passionate and experienced International Business Development Manager to build strategic distributor networks, increase annual sales and bolster market share.

This position base is very likely to be based in Perth and reporting directly to the MD of STEELBRO. Your main area of focus is to establish, manage and grow South East Asia regions including  Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and other nearby locations.

This is an autonomous business development and sales role with you retaining full responsibility for managing your allocated international territory and reaching annually defined sales targets.

Our Malaysian region is destined for growth and it’s an exciting time to come on board with STEELBRO and establish an effective distribution network, generate an increase in sales and set the stage for your future success.

There is no doubt, you will be strongly sales oriented with a profound understanding of the role of marketing for the sales success in side loaders, truck trailers and/or capital equipment markets. You are already a proven achiever and therefore will be able to demonstrate strong development in distributor network formation and have written at least 3 sales after three months with the Company.

Other action areas include:

  • Successfully gaining new business while maintaining existing customer base,
  • Identify customer needs and provide effective solutions and service,
  • Assist with strategic planning, marketing and sales,
  • Maintaining CRM package,
  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs.

As a profile of the successful candidate you will probably feature:

  • A passion for sales, marketing and distributor network formation in the areas of truck trailer and/or capital equipment,
  • At least 10 years experience in a competitive, relationship based selling environment,
  • Creativity and above average cleverness to translate abstract global strategies into tangible and effective local actions that achieve results,
  • High level of drive and passion to achieve ambitious results,
  • Willingness and open mind to learn and succeed in complex, fast moving market environment's,
  • Able to get in front of prospects and regularly write and close a sale/s of capital equipment,
  • A positive and well guarded “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment,
  • Excellent interpersonal, sales and communication skills,
  • Experience in capital equipment sales i.e. side loaders, road transport equipment and/or capital equipment will be highly regarded.
  • A proven record of successful performance in sales achieving sales KPIs and targets,
  • Reside in Malaysia or near by location
