AGA offers a complete apprenticeship service to both the apprentice or trainee and the employer, a service which allows the individual to realise their full potential and the employer to meet the dynamic and changing needs of industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Mentor, support and organise work placements with host employers within major infrastructure projects for apprentices and trainees.
  2. Ensure that workplaces have adequately safe systems of work to accommodate our employees. Support and enact all HSE initiatives to reduce the incidence of injury in the workplace.
  3. Regularly review debt levels and monitor debt management process across their caseload, working with Field Operations Coordinator and other staff to ensure the debt management process is adhered to.
  4. Ensure host employer, recruitment, retention, completion and placement targets are being met across their caseload. Engage in business development activity to support growth in host numbers, and assist in the setting of growth targets based on market analysis. Assist in the achievement of financial targets of the organisation.
  5. Actively manage the engagement of apprentices and trainees on downtime and their prompt rotation back into employment. Ensure Downtime plans are set in every instance, maximising the productivity of our employees whilst they are on downtime.
  6. Engage with industry and strengthen relationships with our existing employer base. Assist in making AGA an employer of choice for apprentices, trainees and a key partner to host employers.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Experience in a similar role where accuracy is paramount
  • Demonstrated Business Development success
  • Customer focused – where excellence in customer service is a priority both to internal and external customers
  • A proactive approach to tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Use initiative and confidence to introduce/streamline processes as appropriate
