About the opportunity and team!

Due to an internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and results driven Trade Sales Representative to join our close knit, high performing Sales team in Adelaide. You’ll be provided with all the necessary tools of trade (car, phone, laptop, Ipad) and given the support and freedom to drive your territory to success - spending a large portion of your week out on the road meeting your customers! 

Your Manager, our Sales Manager started his journey with Laminex 7 years ago as a Sales Rep so is perfectly placed to show the ropes and set you up for success!  You will be well supported by your team on the field when needed, and you'll be given the space to smash your targets! We’re a sociable bunch and we value our team time, so when we’re back from our independent roadies we’ll grab a bite to eat together and have a team huddle. We’re partial to the odd Friday post work social too…

So, what will your responsibilities include? You will…

  • Maximise our sales potential within our residential trade customer base of cabinet-makers, builders and joiners
  • Build strong relationships with our existing portfolio of clients, you will influence and guide customers on colour, design and market trends
  • Expand market share, drive new product sales and increase customer awareness within your assigned territory to ensure that Laminex is the preferred choice for customers
  • Develop excellent working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and maintaining them to achieve results
  • Manage your own administrative processes to ensure your database is kept up-to-date and accurate 
  • Share sales leads and market information with your sales team
  • You will be responsible for a regional territory so expect a few overnight stays every six weeks or so!

About you!

  • Results-orientated with a proven track record achieving monthly targets and portfolio growth achieving lasting relationships with your client-base
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative approach and strong initiative to share information, and seek innovation
  • Proven Sales experience, strong commercial acumen, strategic planning skills and ability to build professional relationships
  • Highly adaptable to market and business changes with a results focus
  • Experience using CRM systems effectively (such as Salesforce) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
