An exciting opportunity is available with a leading National animal health and pet care distributor based in Sydney. The company has had strong growth over the past 2 years and an opportunity has become available for a talented person to continue the growth.
We have a very strong portfolio of products within pet specialty, veterinary and equine. This is a great opportunity for you to add significant value to the customers, with your experience and enthusiasm and be part of a dynamic and progressive team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager this role is responsible for managing the sales team based on the east coast and your own NSW territory, with responsibility of the national objectives.
The Role
The role involves delivering an excellent customer experience through the management of existing and new customers, with a strong emphasis on providing business solutions to the industry, through;
- Coach, manage & motivate the sales team while measuring performance against agreed objectives are exceeded
- Management of the NSW territory supporting existing customers and winning new business
- Managing activities for the achievement of the sales budgets and targeted objectives
- Work with operations to ensure smooth day to day delivery of customers’ orders
- Provide input in to budgets and objectives to senior management
- Providing high levels of brand representation and increased distribution of our supported brands
- Presenting new product opportunities while suggestions to product revisions
- Providing marketing and customised customer solutions
- Management of team sales meetings weekly and quarterly
- Attending trade events as required
- Preparation of business reporting for management
- Based in Western Sydney
About You
- Proven animal health and pet care industry field experience, veterinary experience preferred
- Proven track record in sales target achievement
- Genuine interest and knowledge in the industry
- Strong sales, negotiation, and influence skills
- Focussed on the customer and wanting to exceed their expectations
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Strong people management knowledge
- Strong key account and selling skills
- Understanding of CRMs
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge
- Able to work autonomously with proven territory management experience
- Excellent time management skills
- You have a can do attitude
- Current drivers licence
- Entrepreneurial approach
