The Opportunity

The objective of this position is to assist the retail team in the development and implementation of category and customer sales plans for the assigned customer groups (grocery, pharmacy and emerging channels) to achieve or exceed the designated sales target.  To manage all non-sales and administrative aspects of Pharmacy Wholesalers.

The role will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities and duties:

  • Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve annual targets for nominated customer accounts
  • Support National Account Managers with promotional submissions/management
  • Management of all aspects of Pharmacy Wholesale customers, including: price changes, trading terms, supply side/inventory management etc.
  • Support National Account Management team with analysis of market dynamics, competitor intelligence, brand performance and promotional effectiveness to support the development of sales plans
  • Support the coordination and development of cross functional initiatives in the area of supply chain, finance & marketing with the customer.

About You

You must demonstrate the following attributes and experience in order to be considered for this position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business/commerce related discipline (essential)
  • A demonstrated understanding of basic marketing principles and the selling process.
  • Previous experience with pharmacy & grocery customers (desirable)
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid work ethic, self-motivated, ability to meet deadlines coupled with professionalism
  • A minimum of two years experience in a similar role within Pharmaceutical/Major FMCG
