The Role

Reporting to the SA State Manager, this hands-on role will take full responsibility for a strategically important territory in the Adelaide metropolitan market. You will develop, implement, and monitor sales plans, whilst ensuring sales and profitability targets are achieved. This role requires superior territory management skills, account planning and the ability to achieve significant sales growth. Critical to success will be your ability to foster positive relationships with professional trade customers.

As a senior member in the team, you will lead by example, exhibit strong stakeholder management, be commercially savvy and a strong negotiator. You will assist the state manager to lift the performance of the team through you leading by example and demonstrating professional behaviours and attitudes.

About You

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in account management and new business development, and can demonstrate proven success growing a sales territory, achieving both sales and margin KPI’s. You will possess superior relationship building skills, and have the ability to influence at a variety of levels internally and externally. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to develop creative solutions / propositions for customers which deliver on more than price alone.

We are seeking driven sales professionals who have the potential to progress within the organisation in time as you prove your capabilities and internal opportunities arise. Candidates who have experience mentoring, maximising people performance or even people management experience will be highly regarded.

Please note, paint & coatings industry experience will be highly regarded, but it is mandatory you have strong sales processes and a strategic approach to sales.
