EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and continuing

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Philanthropic Relations Manager reports to the Director, Donor Relations. The purpose of the role will include developing and executing strategic major gift fundraising strategies, which will involve building relationships with high value current and prospective, and undertaking direct line-management duties of a small number of other major-gift fundraisers within the Donor Relations department.
This will include:
- Reviewing, conceptualising, developing and implementing faculty/institute/centre specific fundraising plans with a strategic and targeted approach for solicitation of funds for specific projects.
- Contributing to the development of the Philanthropic Relations strategic and operational planning processes.
- Providing authoritative advice to Executive Deans, Centre/Institute Directors and the University's senior management team on fundraising strategy ensuring alignment with the University and Advancement strategic planning and fundraising framework.
- Conducting or coordinating regular visits to donors and potential donors for the purposes of cultivation, solicitation or stewardship of gifts in excess of $25,000.
ABOUT YOU
- Higher education degree and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise
- Proven experience in the Advancement and fundraising arena with a track record of requesting and gaining significant financial commitment
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively within complex institutional systems, committee and board structures, and management teams
- High level staff supervision skills to coach and assist staff in developing skills for success
