Australian Maritime Systems Group (AMSG) is a diversified organisation delivering high quality maintenance services, systems integration and ILS support to commercial and governmental agencies in the Maritime, Aviation and Defence industries. AMSG is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join a dynamic team in our Brisbane headquarters delivering our Business Development strategy specifically for our Maritime and Defence divisions.
The Role;
You will be a key member of a small dynamic and focused team contributing to;
- Drive development and growth in line with AMSG strategy
- Development and maintenance
- preparation, research, compiling and submission of tender responses
- product quotations, Industry exhibition representation.
- The delivery of a comprehensive relevant and business development activities in line with AMSG Business Development Strategy to position AMSG in relevant and desired Maritime and Defence programs
- The effective management of pre-bid, pre-qualification and tendering output.
- Maintain a solid awareness and stay abreast of AMSG technical and solution developments in all sectors to enable application to appropriate situations.
Experience Required
• Previous experience developing business in the Defence and or Maritime industries.
• Previous Bid/proposal management / compilation /writing experience.
• Bid team experience on complex commercial, Maritime and Defence pursuits.
- Demonstrated experience in client facing environment
You will be highly organized, energetic and a self-starter with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
You will have a proven ability to work with limited direction, organise work and meet deadlines and above all, willing to work as part of a team, travel will be required.

Experience in Business Development in the Defence and or Maritime industries is essential for this role.
This position is Brisbane based, with applicants needing to be eligible to work in Australia.
