In Vitro Technologies are the premier supplier for cell biology and immunology research throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our range of cells, consumables, reagents, and laboratory equipment support life science cell biology workflow in the fields of Cancer, Neuroscience, Immunology, Diabetes & Obesity, Cardiology, Pharmacology, and Drug Discovery.
The Life Science team at In Vitro Technologies is well represented by a sales and marketing team with a strong scientific background. Our team understand their customer’s research needs and are able to provide workflow solutions across a range of market segments.
As a result of emerging opportunities in the scientific market segment, we are seeking to appoint a full-time Cell Analysis Specialist to join our national life science team.

About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is promote and support our high-end cell analysis and cell therapy technology platforms to KOLs within the southern states of Australia.
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the National Sales Manager - Life Science, you will be responsible for the sales, promotion and applications support of the company’s range of leading cell analysis brands to select Life Science accounts in VIC, SA, and WA.
To be successful key responsibilities include:
• Drive the entire sales process within the territory, meeting and exceed sales targets. Prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating and closing high value equipment sales.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior post docs, professors and heads of department.
• Conducting seminars, webinars and education sessions
• On site customer training, workshops and demonstrations
• Applications support, experimental design and data analysis
• Staying abreast of life science/biotech market and general investment trends.
• Willingness to travel interstate a minimum of once per month
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role you will need to possess:
• BSc qualifications in cell biology or immunology - Postgraduate qualifications will highly regarded
• 3+ years experience in high-end capital equipment sales
• Extensive experience in cell analysis and/or cell therapy
• Experience in flow cytometry including data analysis and troubleshooting
• Outstanding communication, scientific presentation and business development skills
•A tenacious nature, with a hunger for success and excellent relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of the life science and biotechnology landscape in Australia.
