Description

As a Recruitment Consultant your responsibilities will include identifying, developing and managing client business relationships as well as selling our recruitment services and negotiating the rates of business. You will be responsible for helping the employer's (client's) to recruit candidates for job vacancies, these may be permanent or temporary roles and can range from junior level staff to managers and directors.

You will have to assess and respond to the needs of each client or assignment and ensure timely delivery, and then identify potential candidates through existing contacts found on the Michael Page database or advertising roles and taking the response. Additionally you will manage the recruitment process from interview to offer stage and beyond. That includes sourcing and interviewing candidates, negotiating salary packages and presenting suitable candidates to clients. Your goal is to build mutual benefiting relationships with clients and candidates and work as part of a passionate team to maximize Michael Page's commercial performance.

Consultants also provide advice to both clients and candidates on training requirements, salary levels and career opportunities. Developing solid relationships and managing both the expectations of clients and candidates is integral to the role

A business development executive's role is both diverse and demanding involving:

  • Using marketing and business knowledge to extend company's contacts
  • Identifying and evaluating employer's recruitment needs
  • Negotiating terms of employment
  • Interviewing potential candidates
  • Developing commercial business relationships with potential employers by telephone to establish new contacts and their recruitment requirements
  • Collecting feedback from employers on the performance of candidates who have been previously placed by them
  • Attending recruitment fairs and other events to expand the client base and develop new business

Profile

You will be a driven, ambitious individual that is looking to work in a fast paced, target driven environment. Previous experience in customer facing environments would be highly beneficial (sales, retail, hospitality, etc.), but is not essential, however a positive attitude and strong worth ethic is!
