Position Overview

The Sales Development Team Leader will lead and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives for the APAC region based in Diligent’s Sydney office.   The Sales Development team is tasked with prospecting, driving new lead qualification and client engagement for Sales Representatives to ultimately develop new business. You will lead and motivate the team to meet monthly/quarterly/annual goals and KPI’s and provide guidance and expertise on prospecting and lead qualification methodologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner and strategize with the marketing team regularly to ensure the appropriate number of leads are coming in. Identify which campaigns are working, and not working.
  • Ensure daily metrics / KPI’s are being met and demo goal is achieved.
  • Organize particular SDRs to attend conferences and meetings for the appropriate value brand that he/she is experienced with.
  • Hires and trains new SDRs as positions become available.
  • Create incentives and promotional tracks for SDRs that consistently exceed his/her sales goals.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure that the team has the right balance between fielding inbound leads and prospecting cold leads to reach out to.
  • Monitor all sales leads and opportunities between every brand to ensure duplicate sales opportunities do not occur.
  • Maintain all SFDC reports to ensure leads are being followed up on in a timely manner and conversion rates are at an appropriate level.

 

 

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of Sales experience or 1-3 years of combined Sales and Sales Development experience
  • A fundamental understanding of the sales process (marketing, prospecting, cold calling, sales cycle, handoff to Customer Success)
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate unique proposition of the product and obtain product knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior level executives
  • Excellent presentation skills both verbally and written
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Has achieved results in a competitive and metrics driven environment
