The Company

Acrodyne is a leader in Actuation, Instrumentation and Control solutions supporting our customers involved in the process industries across Australia and New Zealand.  We have offices and employees based in Melbourne and Perth.       

The Opportunity

This is an exciting full-time position based in Melbourne for a motivated individual who is looking at establishing or developing their sales / application engineering career through our cadetship program. The role will initially start with our internal sales team, developing over time into an external sales engineering role. This role involves providing actuation, instrumentation and associated product solutions to our customers involved in Water and Waste Water, Power, Oil & Gas, Mining, Food and Beverage and other Process industries across the country.

The Successful Candidate

If you have either a trade or tertiary technical qualification and a desire to sell we would like to receive your application. Longer term you will need to be able to travel interstate on a regular basis. 

The role will encompass both commercial and technical sales responsibilities including:

• Communicating with customers and understanding their specifications and requirements
• Providing technical information, product selection and design assistance to consultant engineers, contractors, resellers and end users
• Manage the tender process for projects
• Produce quotations
• Troubleshooting advice for clients

In addition, you will be trained and actively participate in marketing and other activities including:

• Develop and maintain brand awareness
• Develop and maintain customer accounts
• Actively follow up all leads provided

Essential Skills & Attributes

• Confident and have high energy
• Aspiring Individual, either with Mechanical or Mechatronics aptitude, degree or trade qualified seeking a new challenge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills 
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail 
• The ability to work both autonomously and as a highly motivated team player 
• Persistence
