Joval Wine Group is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fun privately owned leading Wine & Glassware distributor servicing both the on and off premise market. Established in 1963, our activities are focused on fine wine, being underpinned by two of the most prestigious and well regarded fine wine distribution entities in Australia, red+white and Mezzanine. We have offices throughout Australia and an affiliation with wine production companies in both South Australia and New Zealand. We employ upwards of 200 staff nationally with our head office being located at Abbotsford, Victoria.
What will you be doing....
This fantastic permanent full-time opportunity will primarily concentrate on representing the Red+White/Mezzanine portfolio in the retail channel in Victoria. This role would ideally suit someone with wine knowledge, hospitality industry knowledge or retail liquor experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven and passionate about wine and sales. The role will report into our State Manager and our office is located in Abbotsford.

- Account management & growth
- Resolving customer queries via telephone, email or face to face
- Reporting on sales, trade activity
- Identifying & pursuing new business opportunities
- Developing yearly and monthly strategies for meeting and exceeding budgets
- Providing action plans and target lists for key brands in the portfolio
- Aligning promotional activities to improve sales results
What we'd ideally like you to have...
- Liquor experience, hospitality experience and/or sales experience
- An understanding of Retail Accounts (Dan Murphy’s, Vintage Cellars, First Choice plus Banner Groups) is required
- A youthful energy coupled with a natural ability to drive positive sales outcomes
- Passion for wine coupled with wine knowledge
- Solid written & verbal communication skills
- Computer literate (CRM and Microsoft suite of applications)
- Personable, charismatic, resilient and driven personality
- Demonstrated initiative in a similar environment
- The ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Current valid car license and own vehicle
