About the business

We are a reputable Australian fashion company who owns, designs and produces three womens fashion labels. Currently running the head office out of Sydney, Australia, our product spans worldwide with showrooms and stockists in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Singapore.

About the role

This is a hands-on sales manager position: 

  • Develop national wholesale sales strategies to grow sales and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain and grow existing customers base including a distributor in NZ and agents/customers overseas by effectively communicating the business values and new collections to them.
  • Ensure the brand is represented in the right locations within appropriate branded stores.
  • Search, identify and source new potential business, especially with relevant department stores, such as DJ or Myers.
  • Collaborate and work closely with in-house designers when designing each range at season beginning, providing customer feedback, best-selling styles/colors/shapes and sales direction
  • Responsible to organise casting, photographer, make up artists etc for lookbook and location photo shot each season. Responsible to search and suggest best locations for the photo shot.
  • Manage lookbook and location photo shot on site each season.
  • Responsible to make showing appointments, present and sell all collections daily during sales period either in the show room and off site visiting clients and retailers. 
  • Responsible to sell in-season Inventory and Best Sellers to customer.
  • Responsible for all sales reports and analyses after sales, follow up and line/collection maintenance.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans and PR
  • Proactively seek to expand the representation of the brand through events (trade shows etc)
  • Manage sales conferences.
  • Ad hoc project and administrative tasks.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a similar Wholesale Sales/Brand Manager role within Fashion, minimum of 3 years
  • Existing connections with department stores womens buyers (i.e. DJ, Myer) is highly desired 
  • Evening gown/bridesmaid dresses/corporate clothes/young girls fashion experience is highly desired and required 
  • You are excellent at optimizing sales, hungry, and driven by numbers and love closing
  • Self motivated, work well with others as well as autonomously
  • Sourcing new business in AUS & NZ as well as maintain and further development of existing customer base
  • Ability to work with Senior Management on building Company Strategy
  • Ability to set and achieve Budgets
  • You have advanced Excel Skills, and you are energetic, positive, and love fashion trends and know who our competitors and clients are.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of the Australian fashion market.
