The team is growing! Our client has redesigned their entire Safety & Wellness focus to implement a seamless, effective and productive solution across their multiple agencies and business units.


The purpose of the position is to lead the delivery of Safety & Wellness operational and strategic functions across the organisation. You will provide advice, support and expertise to the business and stakeholders in relation to organisation-wide systems as well as day-to-day risk management, enabling a proactive and safe compliant environment, and a great workplace culture.


In this role, leading a team of field professionals, you will review, build and manage the organisation’s Safety & Wellness programs, whilst ensuring the provision of high quality, customer-focussed consultancy and advisory services cross the entire organisation, with a focus on wellbeing.


The successful candidate will be required to travel across their geographic region from time to time. 


ESSENTIALLY US…

Monica Clare Recruitment are partnering with Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, serving the Hunter and Manning regions. Through its agencies including Catholic Schools (57 schools), CatholicCare, St Nicholas Early Education, it’s parishes and pastoral groups, the diocese provides educational, social welfare, community and pastoral development. The Diocese employs approximately 3,500 staff across these agencies, making it one of the largest employers in the region.


ESSENTIALLY YOU…


  • Degree qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety and a certificate IV in Auditing.
  • Experience in implementing Safety & Wellness strategies and plans.
  • Excellent working knowledge and management of Workers Compensation.
  • Team leadership in Safety & Wellness.
  • Exemplary communication and engagement skills, with high EQ.
  • The ability to deliver to deadlines and budgets.
  • Deep understanding of best-practice Safety & Wellness initiatives.
  • Ability to juggle multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Experience in change management processes.
  • Ability to engage, inspire, influence, coach and deliver, with a strong work ethic and team focus!
