Our APAC Regional Reward Team is seeking an International Benefits Specialist to join them on a fixed full-term basis through until February 2020. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of the regional benefits strategy through the provision of research, analytical support and recommendations into the design and implementation of benefits programs primarily across the APAC region.

You will partner closely with the APAC Regional Reward Lead, Rewards Team, and the regional HR Business Partners and have ability to liaise effectively with a variety of local and international stakeholders across multiple time zones.

This is a fixed term employment opportunity through until February 2020. Take your pick from a Melbourne (Clayton) or Adelaide (Mawson Lakes) office location.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

Develop and/or administer any of the company's employee benefits programs. These benefits may include but are not limited to: annual leave, sick leave, medical/dental coverage, long-term disability, superannuation, leaves of absence, and other programs. May also provide counselling and oversee communications of benefits to employees. Evaluate present programs through research, surveys, and analysis of benefit trends and/or vendor management to ensure plans are competitive and current.

You will have skills and experience in:

  • Significant experience in the design and management of employee benefit programs, preferably within a global enterprise
  • Significant demonstrated results in developing and implementing employee benefit solutions to complex business strategy and objectives
  • Significant knowledge and application of relevant legislative provisions, regulations, and Acts including Fair Work Act (FWA), Long Service Leave Act, etc.
  • Significant understanding and experience applying business principles and practices
  • Substantial understanding and experience applying Project Management principles and practices
  • Computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports and management information
  • Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
Experience & competencies – desirable:

  • Experience providing effective guidance, mentoring and training to other employees
  • Experience working within a similar role within a professional engineering / technical / project environment (preferably within the defence industry)
Position latitude:

Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organisation.
