Advantaged Care owns and operates 4 extra service facilities. Georges Manor, a 144 bed facility at Georges Hall. Bondi Waters, a 56 bed facility at Bondi Beach, Barden Lodge, a 62 bed facility at Barden Ridge and Prestons Lodge, a 132 bed facility in Prestons. We are currently working on 2 new aged care projects and looking for other growth opportunities in aged care.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be the key recruitment support person, responsible for managing the recruitment of all new Advantaged Care employees through the recruitment life cycle, from sourcing talent to engaging it.

You will most likely already be in a similar role and aware of what is required, so a long list of responsibilities here isn't required but your primary focus will be:

  • Consult with senior Managers across the organisation about roles that need to be filled and advertise vacancies where appropriate – SEEK, other online media, local newspapers, agencies etc.
  • Source and screen candidates for a variety of different roles, assessing their suitability for an interview and/or inclusion in the talent pool.
  • Arrange and conduct all interviews on site with the facility mangers and supervise candidate suitability assessments.
  • Carry out all pre-employment screening of candidates – reference checks, police checks, medicals, visa work rights etc.
  • Prepare letters of offer, job descriptions and other contractual agreements / documents required in commencing new employees.

Skills and experience

To be considered for an interview, you'll need to demonstrate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Staffing and Selection or equivalent discipline.
  • 2- 3 years' experience in Recruitment
  • A current National Police Clearance - to work with vulnerable people
  • A motor vehicle and clean Driver's License (to enable you to travel between the facilities when required)
  • Warm, open, energetic personality
  • Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly-developed organisation skills
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to get things done
  • Flexibility and a willingness to help others
  • Ability to work productively and harmoniously in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • A familiarity with (or understanding of) the aged care sector would be highly regarded but not essential
