The Opportunity:

Based in Canberra, due to business growth, this newly created role has arisen to be part of our growing careers team. Reporting through to the General Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join career coaches, consultants and writers to work with a diverse range of clients across major accounts. This role will ideally suit a confident professional with a proven background in recruitment, HR and/or career counselling, who enjoys working with a broad cross section of people, possesses a consultative approach to career transitions and is passionate about assisting others in achieving their dream jobs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with clients and providing candidates with expert career advice, knowledge and solutions to suit their needs.
• Account management of corporate clients – including key stakeholder liaison, opportunity identification and reporting
• Ensuring that individual customers receive professional career support and guidance.
• Demonstrating a solid understanding of different industries, jobs and opportunities.
• Working with a variety of candidates to develop their understanding of the different services available, and providing effective direction for their situation
• Providing interview coaching, career assessments, career advice, and general job search guidance.
• Working with other team members, coaches and writers as required

The Ideal Candidate:

You will ideally be tertiary qualified - a service oriented HR/Recruitment or career counselling professional, with a proven track record (preferably 5years+) and demonstrated understanding of the job search process in diverse industry sectors. Results driven, you are passionate about helping others and highly motivated by wanting to make a difference, gaining rapport easily and building strong connections, you enjoy being a trusted advisor and providing outstanding service to your clients. You don't need the thrill of the chase of cold calling, but you demonstrate a positive approach, excellent listening skills and consultative ability, which enables you to be confident, solutions focused and effective in delivery of service. You are a highly valued team player who is considered a natural people person, with a well-regarded 'can do' attitude, and exceptional communication skills (professional verbal and written). Outcomes oriented, you take pride in being highly organized, with the ability to follow process and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

This is a unique Canberra based, full time opportunity (although flexibility of hours over 5 days can be considered) which would suit an experienced HR/Recruitment Consultant and/or Career Counsellor looking for an opportunity where you can make a difference, in an established but fast-growing company.
