About You

About the Role

The role of the People and Capability Manager is to support the General Manager and Senior Management team in the successful leadership and management of the Clarence Correctional Centre.  You will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust People & Capability Strategy which aligns to the business objectives.  You will manage the service delivery of all aspects of human resources, ensuring compliance with the Serco Management System (SMS), Contract requirements and legislation. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • A Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Business or similar.
  • Experience in the management of an end to end service provision of the human resources function.
  • The ability to work in partnership with senior management teams, line managers and employees.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing a human resources strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of negotiating Enterprise Agreements.
  • The ability to develop a high performing culture whilst developing leadership pipelines and succession plans.
