WHAT`S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT? 

This role will be responsible for providing a full range of HR generalist service to the management teams within the APAC region.  

The HR Manager will have a sound knowledge of regional employment law and will be confident and professional in their manner within a team environment. They will be flexible to changing business needs and provide creative and innovative solutions when leading change and delivering HR strategy. 

The successful applicant will be the primary go-to person for any day-to-day HR advice and will act as the gateway for managers to access the Centres of Expertise and HR Services team. 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

  • Lead the talent management process and follow up actions including succession planning and developing actionable Talent Profiles
  • Identify future skills requirements
  • Support management teams across APAC region in the annual People Survey and the follow up workshops and actions
  • Develop, implement, and embed existing HR Policies and Practices within the region.
  • Be accountable for the annual salary review (ASR) process supporting the local management team and liaising with the Centre of Expertise and Heads of HR
  • Ensure the personal development review (PDR) process runs smoothly locally supporting the managers in implementation and consistency of approach
  • Support change programs across APAC region as and when required
  • Managing the recruitment of all roles in APAC
  • Provide reliable advice on legal, contractual and HR issues in line with the local law
  • Support and coach managers to effectively manage all aspects of employee relations and people issues ensuring a pragmatic business and best practice approach
  • Support the Heads of HR as and when required on Divisional and companywide initiatives

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

  • A minimum of 5 years HR experience in international environment
  • Degree level qualification in Human Resources (or related field)
  • Must have a broad understanding of different aspects of HR and ability to use information and analysis to create and deliver appropriate strategic people plans
  • Must have strong employment law knowledge across APAC region
  • Has demonstrable success in influencing business stakeholders at a senior level to adopt appropriate HR strategies that support the business agenda, using a variety of influencing styles
  • Ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and professionally across all levels
  • An upbeat and positive attitude
  • Customer driven, collaborative with a hands-on approach and the proven ability of identifying pragmatic business focused solutions to problems whilst recognising risks and implications of suggested actions
  • Confident self-starter able to work independently in a business partnering manner as well as effectively as part of an HR team
  • Enthusiastic about HR and what it can deliver with a successful track record of delivering HR services and business support
  • Strong organisational capability, able to prioritise large volumes of diverse work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong MS Office and IT literacy with the proven ability to create and deliver workshops and presentations
  • Professional Human Resources qualification is highly desirable
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and sometimes unstructured environment helpful!
