The Role

As a HR Business Partner you will be in an operational, hands-on role, supporting all aspects of the HR function in your portfolio, including employment relations; performance and reward; leadership coaching and development; employee engagement and enablement; recruitment and talent management. 

You will also have the opportunity to be involved in a range of HR and business related projects that will extend your skills and experience.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner this role works with people from across all aspects of our business, and has a strong focus on being the interface between the development and implementation of HR initiatives and the front line and senior leaders you work with. You will have a key role in helping the organisation deliver its strategies through a safety, performance and values based culture.

This type of role isn’t for everyone, you will need to be able to roll up the sleeves of your iconic Elders’ pink shirt and provide hands-on support to our geographically dispersed Branch network.

The Person

You will have 3 – 5 years generalist HR experience with demonstrated capability in supporting HR activity, providing decisive, pragmatic and commercially focussed HR advice to business leaders. In addition you will bring:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • Ability to build strong relationships and establish trust
  • Experience in coaching leaders to build their people capability
  • Collaborative approach to influence and drive outcomes
  • High levels of resilience and drive
  • High degree of flexibility in thinking and approach to HR
