We are seeking a Solutions Sales Specialist to join our emerging Cloud and Data Centre Transformation line of business.  The successful applicant will be able to clearly articulate and evangelise the latest Datacentre technologies and how they can assist our customers in transforming their IT infrastructure solutions.

Working together with the existing account team, the candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and prosecuting Datacentre transformation engagements with our clients. The individual must be comfortable with engaging with our clients technical and IT management staff to understand their technical and business requirements and develop solutions that address their requirements. An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand will be required.

A background in traditional server, storage and virtualisation technologies, and a passion for new hyper-converged and hybrid cloud solution stacks is essential to be successful in this role.  

The role will involve generating awareness with prospects to create new opportunities for traditional, hyper converged and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.  The candidate would ideally have previously worked in a pre-sales position and be capable of representing themselves as a subject matter expert to our clients and internal sales teams.

Experience required:-

  • Deep technical understanding of Datacentre Technologies across storage, server, networking, virtualisation and HCI
  • The ability to work effectively with the sales teams to evangelise and scope cutting edge technology solutions for the datacentre
  • Credible specialist knowledge and the ability to present as a subject matter expert when communicating effectively with the client up to CEO level
  • Ability to quickly and effectively qualify opportunities with our sales teams
  • Attend meetings with sales staff while acting as a technical expert, working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions
  • Explore with our clients their technical and business requirements and present the benefits of a solutions devised
  • Design for our clients new Infrastructure solutions across traditional virtualised, HCI and Hybrid cloud stacks
  • Present proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team
  • Take ownership for commercial and technical engagement 
  • Have a strong understanding of strategic and technology issues in the Hybrid Cloud market place
  • Be able to build strong relationships with vendor partners through networking and attending relevant industry events.
  • Complete technical certifications for Data Centre Vendors including but not limited to Cisco, Dell EMC and VMware
