Client Details
Our client is an Australian institution and global leader in their field. As they continue to bring their IT solutions in house and grow their local teams, the successful candidate will lead a team of highly accomplished, dynamic Java Developers, as well as BI/DW Developers and a small Project team. You will be expect to bring a strong level of knowledge in software architectural solutions and design, project delivery, scalability and continuous delivery.
Description
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Project delivery and enhancements across multiple applications.
- Drive continuous improvement across the team.
- Lead the people in the team, ensuring their continued drive to deliver excellent results.
- Share and obtain knowledge, experience and ideas from other teams, managers and senior stakeholders to achieve the best results.
- Build and drive trust, transparency and collaboration across your team, and maintaining regular communication with others.
- Bridge enterprise, solution and software architecture.
- Help to manage and prioritise competing requirements from multiple stakeholders, project and programme management.
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring, direction and advice across the development team.
- Provide recommendations for future state and solutions, demonstrating business acumen and strategic thinking.
Profile
Key technical competencies and skills required:
- People leadership
- Integration mindset, and technical integration experience using Java Enterprise Solutions.
- Enterprise software architecture and solutions
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java 8, Maven, Spring, Spring Boot, JBoss and IntelliJ Idea.
- Strong level of experience working in a Microservice architecture in a large enterprise environment.
- AWS, cloud native and SOA deployment patterns and practices.
- Familiar with various Design Patterns, Integration concepts, CI/CD patterns and scripting technologies.
- Basic understanding of Virtual Servers and Data Centres would be an advantage.
- Ability to facilitate architectural reviews and design sessions.
- Experience running small-medium sized projects - breaking down and prioritising tasks, estimating task effort, planning, scheduling and delegating tasks.
