An opportunity for an enthusiastic 1st Line IT Support Analyst with one - two years' experience has become available in our Melbourne office to join our Asia-Pacific team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring calls in the Help Desk portal and provide end user support to resolve these calls;
  • Providing high level of core application support to all end users within the guidelines of the teams SLAs;
  • Developing a strong understanding of DLA Piper applications to ensure you can answer "how do I?" style issues/questions;
  • Providing new and existing employees with support and guidance via phone, email, live chat and personal interaction; and
  • Escalating Help Desk calls to 2nd and 3rd line and local support analyst as required.

To be successful in this position you must demonstrate a solid understanding of PC-based networks and networking, PC hardware and troubleshooting and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows. An understanding of mobile telephony and smartphone operation, network printing and printer technology and Internet technologies. You will be a team player who has a professional approach, excellent communication skills with the aptitude to anticipate routine problems and the initiative to resolve them.

This role is a 12 month fixed-term contract where you will be required to work a minimum of 7.5 hours per day. Shift times may vary but are generally: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 8:30am - 5:00pm or 9:30am - 6:00pm (this may also include working on weekends and public holidays).

Whilst a degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred, other industry qualifications and relevant experience in the IT Industry is highly regarded.
