Ayan Infotech has a requirement for an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer for a contract role in Sydney.

Title: Infrastructure Solutions Engineer
Location: Sydney
Type: Contract (6 months + possible extensions)

Focus Areas:

Play a pivotal role in providing both technical and design expertise to the projects assigned. The role sees the engineer take accountability on the design, ensuring the successful consumption of the IT Infrastructure services within the Compute, Infrastructure, Workplace Services and Technology platform portfolios.

The Solutions Engineer is the key accountable person for the infrastructure solution and will be responsible for ensuring projects are aligned enabling maximum infrastructure leverage and meets client's strategy outcomes.

Major Responsibilities:

• Solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.
• Providing technical consulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to IT&T strategy, architectures, and utilisation of standardised IT services
• Providing specialist knowledge on engineering solutions, and emergent IT services that may benefit the Group's strategic direction
• Advising on approach to service engineering and solution design, recommending alternative approaches where required
• Active responsibility to work with, and direct technical resources to design, engineer and utilise standardised IT services, to promote business value
• Being the customers' trusted adviser
• Reducing number of non-standard and non-catalogue solutions.
• Providing quick and efficient cost estimation engagements.
• Driving the creation and adoption of standard patterns across the business unit
• Driving improved productivity with High Level Design outputs

Experience required:

• You have experience in performing IT Solution Design & Architecture
• You possess experience in leading infrastructure delivery projects and programs of work
• You have strong technical experience across several technology disciplines, including Storage, Mainframe and Midrange, x86 and Cloud Computing, Networking and Perimeter, Application content delivery and Application platforms
• You possess the ability to add value and achieve optimum outcomes for the business
• You have specialised knowledge of development and design methodologies.
