This is a hands on technical software engineering position. The successful candidate will support integration and configuration of computational system architecture and system software for real-time applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, integrate and test software to meet requirements
- Design computer architecture, software interfaces, and software infrastructure
- Responsible for operating systems installation and configuration
- Troubleshoot issues with computational equipment configuration & interfaces
- Configure & troubleshoot networks of deliverable equipment
- Responsible for requirements, design, development, integration, testing, & verification of simulation interfaces
Skills & Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline
- Strong Java & Database experience
- Knowledgeable in Linux operating systems installation & configuration
- Management of a software baseline, including branching, merging, building, maintaining, and installing software
- Creation and maintenance of coldstart procedures that are used to install and configure the OS on various Linux and Windows machines
- Virtual environment experience with VMware, software, and appliances
- Experience working in a team environment
- Good communications skills
This is a temporary role, as such you should be a fast learner with very strong analysis and problem-solving skills with an ability to carry tasks through to completion with only general technical direction.
