Based in Williamtown NSW, the Quality Assurance Engineer is the focal point for all Quality Assurance functions and processes at the site and the practical application and achievement of Quality Assurance requirements and objectives as defined from the Program Specific Quality Plan. Working under the direction of the LMA Lead Quality Mission Success & Security Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the currency of the site Quality Plan and updating QA processes as the need is identified.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):
  • Assist with the Implementation of the Quality Management System and maintain currency.
  • Ensure QA support to overall training system products and services.
  • Ensure the site’s quality metrics are current
  • Ensure applicable audit programs are fully implemented, documented, and cover applicable tasking in the contract,
  • Comply with audit schedules as directed by management.
  • Maintain quality records
  • Advise management where the quality of the site’s services could be improved,
  • Coordinate with management to ensure an effective trend analysis program.
  • Work with the government and key contractor personnel to resolve quality problems as directed by the site management.
You will have skills and experience in:
  • Experience, understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in Industry for quality assurance management.
  • Proven application of technical expertise with strong knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain quality management frameworks to achieve operational objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001: 20015 and application of same.
  • Sound knowledge of Risk Management Standard AS31000 and application of same.
  • Knowledge in application of Military and Industry Regulations, Technical Airworthiness Maintenance Manual (TAMM) as they relate to Engineering or Technical environments.
Qualifications
  • Relevant ISO 9001:2015 Quality Auditor/Lead Auditor training
  • Process Improvement practitioner with high level training and competencies in ISO 9001, or Lean/Six Sigma.
